she had concentrate, focus on the toy or me...not the barking pitt bull.such as young age doing very well with that.not afraid, do not run away...was a brave and valiant

we started early,protect and obedience.Kimi was probably the only dog that so quickly begun training.She doing well.

there no difference to me what I have...presa od dogo.I have a brave females,calm in the house and family,dangerous and, if necessary,full of passion,great defender,smart, is full of expression,incorruptible,she is a impulsive (but i loved that),is reliable.
It is unique.I do not appreciate the book by its cover.

The same way whilst your dog is aestheically pleasing to alot; it just doesn't fill the criteria for people who want to test their dogs in ways other than against a show orientated standard- such as PP, temp test, security work, sch, sport etc etc

The fact that you fail to see the dofference is one of two things; either you are blinded by the love you have for your own dog and/or its breed (the dogo canario) or you are a complete novice to dogs and can only hope that the reputation of the Perro de Presa canario can also belong to the Dogo Canario breed through nothing more than a distant ancecstry (which has widened with lapse of time since the slpit) and a simliar name. Just accept it you have a very nice dogo but its not a presa no matter how much you argue to the contrary. Your right its not the dogs fault and if one were to look for blame its usually found at the other end of the lead and further back to the creators and short sighted inceptors of the Dogo canario who bred away from the true PRESA temp all those years back leaving you crying over split milk. You sound like a decent person and its obvious you enjoy your dog regardless of its true heritage so il put it down to love blindness.

I'm sure if you do a little research you'll find vids of presas performing to a standard n level unachievable by the dogo generally speaking. But I'd think you'd get a clearer picture if you actually seen in person what I and others are trying to covey to you. Here's one difference to start you off- stamina- how can a thickset breed like a dogo run for extended periods- how many catch dogs do you see as disproportinately muscled as the dogo- I'd guesstimate at 1% or less. It's just not the choice of structure for real stuff. If you believe form follows function ask yourself between the two breeds; what has the dogo excelled at other than the show ring? Even for that it's poorly built e.g wide set legs and a long back can't make it for easy turns around the ring infront of a judge. At least they have huge necks for all those rosettes to be attatched. Do your own research and don't ask to be spoon fed evidence when it's all at your disposal. Some people wouldn't know their arse from their elbow though so I dunno are my words just wasted
