I have a male presa he is now 1 1/2. Ive had him since he was 8 weeks. well about 2 months ago a rescued a 5 year old female presa. She is more laid back and Buddah is still very young, so hes very playful. The female is very protective of me more than the male which Ive had longer. She fell into heat so theres drama in the house cuz of it. She snaps at him all the time . And poor Buddah doesn't understand why. I dont want him to feel unloved because of her arrival. I dont want to get rid of her. What should I do? Any advice is welcomed... Thanks

Get them both de-sexed, now. Seriously.

That is my plan but after they breed. I would love to breed Buddah at least once. His genes are the best. His dad is a UKC Champ and I believe he would have great pups. After that they are both getting de-sexed. But I believe if i let nature take its course everything would be fine.
Thank you for the advice

I know Im late but I hope you havent bred this dog because his father was UKC champ... Dogs may not be for you... If you think that a reason to breed a dog!

I have to agree, besides it is clear that your 5year old rescue doesn't want to be bread...NO means NO! Or you don't understand it either when a woman says NO?!
And trying to breed a rescue is not good at all, because you don't know what she had been through before your rescue.

ditto with danuk it is not fare to breed off a rescue she does not need the extra stress.

props to you for rescuing a dog... but breeding a rescue is probably one of the most unethical things I can think of.
You have no idea what the dog has been through or what she is gonna throw as pups. If you are intent on breeding your male because his dad was a show champ at the very least ask the breeder for advice on who to match him too.
Don't just match up two random dogs and send them to homes that will likely cycle them back in to rescue.
