I took them to the beach today while the weather was nice :).
A bit of swimming, playing around in the water, and on the sand.
Just two dogs, been dogs, having fun.
It was a nice warm clear day, in the background of some of the pictures you can see, Blackpool Tower, The Pepsi Max Big 1 roller coaster, and in the very far distance the hill in the last photo is Barrow in Furness in the Lake district.
We were on Southport beach.

Mmm, ribs! Really, I love seeing dogs that aren't fat.
Beautiful animals and beautiful photos, they really look like they're enjoying themselves. It's too bad about the muzzles, I take it that's a law in England?
ETA: Sorry, are you even in England?

Muzzles, No it is not a law in England.
I just spent good money fighting a civil court case against my next door neighbour and won, she wanted the dogs muzzled all the time outside.
Judge said "NO There is no Law to make these dogs wear muzzles when they have done nothing wrong"
I put the muzzles on them when they are out together only.
Why? They are both Curto blood entire males.......;).
Yes they are trained, yes it is my choice to use the muzzles, when I choose to.
I believe prevention is better then cure.
On their own they are both sociable with each other, and other dogs, but when out together.....
I will leave the possibilities to your imagination.
I can only be responsible for me and my dogs, not the rest of the general public and their untrained dogs.

Great photo's mate, how far's Lake District from you then? I thought it was still a LONG way further up north?
As a general point, the UK is very much 'jam-packed' full of people, even the sparser parts will see folks crop up very unexpectedly when you could do without, because if its somewhere you like / find useful / pretty, you can be sure others do to. I forget the exacts, but it would fit something like 14 times into Texas or something, to give perspective, but has like 60m people (that we know of!) living here, nearly 50% of which live in around 25% of its land mass. Couple that with the large number of poor quality owners ...often of the wrong sorts of dogs, it is the responsible thing to be in the right if something kicks-off, especially when you have two dogs.
That muzzle id is spot-on mate, but it is bespoke sized under their new fitting options. As it happens, it is nigh-on the exact same size as the one I already had, that I think you've got too. Good stuff, quite a few of them floating around the UK now.

I parked my van on a small car park next to the sand works, normally empty midweek, I struggled to find a parking space and waited a few mins to do so.
Southport was extra busy this weekend due to the Musical Firework Chamionship, which I also found usefull for socialising the dogs to big noises, crowds, and big flashing lights in the sky, all went well.
What you cannot see about a mile in land is the car park and the few hundred bird watchers. Twichers I believe is the correct nick name. On the other side of the coast road. Opposite the beach, is a large nature reserve and bird sanctuary.(Marshside)
It would not of gone down too well if Jnr had cought a few seagulls while the bird watchers looked on with their binoculars and long range telescopic lenses etc.
Only two couples walked out as far as I to the sea's edge a man & woman on bikes, and a father & son on bikes. We did pass many dog walkers with their dogs off leash on the way to the sea, but mine stayed on lead until I could see it was clear.
To be honest it just makes me feel even better when their dogs are kicking off, unleashed, unsociabley, as the owner try's frantically recalling it or them away from my two, who do their very best to ignore the silly dog and their owner jumping and waving their arms about ATTEMPTING to RECALL thier dog from the muzzled and leashed ones,(MINE.)
When I am in such a public place and either dog is going to run/paddle/swim/walk off leash, I utilies the tools I have got. It may look scary to some people, but when often asked why, I explian it to people.
That not every one has the level of control/training I have with my dogs. And if an iccident should occur and my dogs been the bigger will most likley come off better and be blamed and me. So the fact that I take these precautions and also carry and use stool/poo/shit bags shows that I am behaving as responsibly as I can.
The muzzles are there for a reason, I use them as and when I see fit, to protect myself and my dogs, it may seem very strange perhaps, but the UK has gone rather extreme with Law suits etc as well as been very lax on promoting responsible dog ownership and/or training.
How many vets in the UK actually actively promote or take part in obedience training classes? Not very many.
Alot say it but don't actually do it.
BUT,
They are very happy to take money off you for problem dog behaviourist and dog pshycologists etc when the problem is usually the puppy was never trained in the first place, in my opinion.
How many dogs are there in the UK?
How many trained dogs are there in the UK?
I bet the numbers have a big difference!
