KO and I are going to Canada again... Ontario acrossing at Buffalo.
Does anyone know of new regulations regarding bringing pets across, or visiting Toronto?
Last year they did not even ask about the dog taking up the back seat...lol. We did not visit Toronto though so if anyone has any insight that would be great.
Thanks in advance!

All you need is a record from a vet proving recent/updated rabbies vaccination. They probably won't even ask but you should have it on hand just in case.

I'm in TO and frankly I find it a very dog friendly place...feel free to PM me if you like. People take their dogs in stores, the subway, even on buses. I don't take them to spots like that but we do go to the park/ravine all the time.
Tell you what. If you need someone to watch your boy if you explore TO and shop, take a day trip to Niagara, whatever, I can most likely do it for you. Just an offer.
Two of my relatives are border guards and what L and H said is 100% correct. Should be very smooth sailing for you. They have bigger fish to fry than you and your dogs.

Hey, Thanks guys!
Preasrus, what part of TO are you in? My aunts live in the beaches section of town.
I remember TO being very dog friendly, but with all the crazy Pit regulations I was not so sure. Thanks for the offer to watch KO, although he is not so very "man" friendly. Women and kids he is great with... men... no so very friendly..."wink". He is OK with me there, but it would not be responsable of me to leave him with anyone really.
I will be walking him around, maybe when I am there we can meet up. He is very much a Presa though, so other dogs can be an issue... depending on their owners.
Let me know where you are,
Thanks again,
Patrick

Patrick -
PM sent.
We can meet, sure.
I thought/worried the same about TO re: stance on dogs but it's pretty chill to be honest at least in my experience. I have seen plenty of pits, and was recently told that there is a guy who walks two filas on the sidewalk with NO LEASH not too far from here and does it everyday.
