Up untill now i thought that white on the feet and other body parts was not a trait pure presas exhibited? looking around at pics from different kennels and this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GnmQPW-Xwk , i have seen a few dogs that have white marking in odd places. is there a particular line that tends to throw dogs with white markings or was i wrong in my initial assumtion? take care

I donīt know about lineīs but i do know that pure presas can be almost all white (I think they are culled when born in most cases).
My Presa is from Wilma de IC x Sisu de IC... With this compination came 9 pupīs and 3 White males Julle is one of them.

If you have white in the genetics and it is allowed up to 20-40% depending on the standard then at times all white or a lot of white will come out in some pups when different parents are bred together. This does not make that "white" presa dog any less of a presa "inside" or genetically, as it is the same genetics as the other pups of the litter, BUT logically it is not a presa as per any of the Presa Standards and therefore should not be used or used with great care and forethought to the fact that future culling will be necessary in order to preserve the look of the future offspring.

For the most part they exist, obviously, but should not be bred ....... typically as mentioned before they should be culled. Because when you look at them they do not look like a Presa, and they only further aid in the confusion as to what a presa should look like. None of which a quality specimen should be guilty of.

Moral of the story, if you are someone that is interested in overall quality of the breed, and you give someone who knows nothing about presas a written standard and put a whitish presa in front of them, what are they going to say it is? Probably a bulldog and this is not the worst insult, LOL.

My Hana de IC x Aruba de Ic pup, Argos II de IC. He has a small white blaze in his mask, and some white on his feet. Personally I like a little white.

should colour really come into it for working dogs?Imagine culling a dog because its a funny shape or size etc but could be the best working dog?
