So this is something I find interesting. I know dogs vary in cost, but it seems that "rare" breeds in general cost quite a bit more than other more common pure breed dogs.
As a simple supply / demand model it seems that they average uneducated buyer who is looking to own a presa based simply on looks is not willing to be paying $1000's of dollars for a pup, and they will go to some backyard presa breeder who sells the dogs for $500 or less, I have seen quite a few.
I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for, and generally a quality product is not cheap, but I guess what I am getting at, is how do you breeders come up with the price of your pups? It seems like the market place is going to be driving the cost of these dog down as they become more popular and easier to come by in the classified adds.
Just curioius...
