I don't know if it's a unspoken rule or if it's just a secret, but nobody talks about the pp training they do with their dogs and the command words they use... Like for instance: Watch or Guard, I tell my boy Max to watch the house and family b4 I go to work and he does, he only gets up to go grub and potty other wise he lays in the entrance hall and family room. If the kids are outside he wants out...
My male Max is very laid back and chillin, he is very serious and hardly will ever play with me or my female. He doen't like alot of attention, he is in your face when it comes to my family, max makes sure you know not to mess with the family specially with the kids.
My female Sierra is still young with lots of puppy yet and doesn't quit get it, but she is getting better. She loves to be outside nomatter what the weather is and she loves the snow. She has excellent prey dive, she is on a leash I made her (30' long) in the back and she has caught 2 Pheasant, 3 partriadge and 1 jack rabbit, she is fast as hell. She cries if a piece of garbage blows by her, I have let her go a couple times and she grabs it kills it and brings it to us by laying it on the deck.
My dogs are trained by me, the protective instinct is natural "NO TRAINING!" My dogs listen and mind me as they should, they are great family dogs awsome with my wifes in house daycare. They have been kid socialized from 8 week pups to present, I have 5 kids of my own from 13-5. They want to catch the cat but the cat is just a little quicker on her feet. Damn cat teases the dogs. LOL I have found the older they get the more dog aggressive they are and it's not all dogs and not any specific breed or size, I haven't quit figured what the other dog triggers but I do know they really don't like being pestered and smelled in privates! My dogs have been going to the local dog park since puppies, we go religously when no dogs are their. The fenced in area is 200 yard box with picnic tables ect... They have one box for small and large breeds, it's great! I also run my dogs in the ditch out in the country... (2 miles full run 15 mph) Over all my dogs are healthy and fit...
I Love my dogs and will do whatever it takes to protect them even if I was to get hurt, they are Truely my Best Friends hands down... Now I can't wait to get 3rd dog. :ok:
