We have been away from here for a while and its nearing the time for us to get a dog.We have been talking to breeders all over the country.We need a good all around farm dog that has guardian qualities and we believe a Presa
is the dog for us.We have been confused by all the contradictory opinions out there but we feel good about the knowledge we have gained.We would like to have our pup by the end of January.I would like to thank the people here who have been helpful and responded to our messages and questions.

What are the kennels you are looking at?

Opunui, I will refrain from mentioning specific breeders but we are trying to follow the guidelines of
Verifying both sides of the pedigree
Verifying hip tests on mom and dad
..On temperament tests we are going to get video of mom and dad doing different activities in lieu of a CGC
We are going back and forth between domestic breeders or foreign,both have
their pluses and negatives.
We have exchanged e-mail and talked to a few and we are down to four.
Don`t worry it will be a Presa Canario

I was just wondering. I am not one to criticize other dogs, just what you do with them and what you want them for. Sounds like you have done your homework and I wish you the best. Only if other buyers were as dedicated to doing thier research first. I will tell you that after Sadie before Brock I did tons of research and found that alot of breeders were not interested in educating me about the breed and stopped talking to me when they figured out that I was not buying a dog from them right away. Beware of these kennels. There are alot of conflictions on this website about individuals ideals on the presa and what they should be, but most of us are here for the same reason which is to better the breed.
