It was good that he ( the trainer) lost the whip. I think it best , when starting new dogs out to stick with the fundamentals of grip and reward .Introducing whips and sticks only when the dog has developed sufficient grip. Mezzon de Irema Curto looks good !

I have to agree with you Dave. The dog has to understand the "game" and develop a good foundation. A whip or anything else that introduces any measure of conflict early on can detract from teaching the dog a proper foundation.

No whip or sticks at this point for Mezzon only pray - play drive training.
The whip thing was just evaluation, the trainer wanted to see his defense.
