CROSSPOST:
I am a volunteer and board member with Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue in Westchester County, NY. I also volunteer at several local shelters. In my travels, I came across a special needs 3 year old female Presa Canario. The shelter is calling her Kitchy. Her information is below. The Elmsford Animal Shelter is located in Elmsford, NY. They have over 600 dogs. Their website is not maintained., nor is their petfinder listing. Their dogs get no adoption exposure.
Bio: Kitchy is a 3 yr old female Presa Canario. She was surrendered to the shelter, along with her sister, due to the owner's move to another state. She is very friendly and eager to please. Her left front leg was completely shattered in an accident. Surgery to repair the leg was not successful and the pins and plates that were inserted had to be removed, leaving the leg limp and useless. The shelter vet determined that there is no further repair that can be done on Kitchy's leg. She gets around just fine using her three good legs. She is happy, playful, and affectionate and has lots of love to give.
Location: Elmsford Animal Shelter, Elmsford, NY
Contact: Elmsford Animal Shelter 914-592-7362
