desperate in nj update

i have great news-yesterday (monday 1/9/06) amigo found a home. i hope he gets all the love and affection he so deserves. i will be following his progress & have been told his new owners will be putting his pic on the website.i am grateful this had a happy ending & i hope there are many more for those in need.

He is a great dog, just has some marking issues right now. He hates to be alone in a room if some one is home.

Crates are a good thing in this situation..... :ok: to you for adopting the boy!

i agree crates are great in this situation. are you sure he is marking and not being submissive?

No he is not being submissive. He is marking because we have had several family members visit over the holiday's wioth their dogs. The markings are isolated to my basement floor and basement couch. When upstairs in the house with the family he is fine, even when left alone for a while. I have been re-introducing him to basic commands, to which he is responding to but slowly. We have been training 2x daily for 15-20 minutes.


i love this dog.
