I would like to let everyone know the sadness I feel for the suffering of the Pope, even though I know he will be going to a better place,

My thoughts, heart and prayers are with him.

He has suffered for so many years and never complained, he has shown faith and love to many and now finally he can take faith in knowing he has done a better job than would have been expected of him. Thank you.

Peace and serenity await him.

My prayers are with him

I think that a lot of people all around the world are suffering right now at this moment.
Due to war, aids, hunger and poverty.

I think the pope is very lucky to be able to die over there where he will been taken care off by professional people, have all the medical attention he needs and where he is safe.....

Wish we could say that about these other ones that suffer.

I agree with you about people suffer around the world and my prayers are with them always.

But, I am sorry, I do not agree that you should think yourself lucky to "die"

No matter where you are or who you are, what you have or do not have.

YOU are not "Lucky" to die

I said "to be able to die".....

And yes he is lucky to be able to die in a peacefull way in his own safe enviroment.
Loats of people are not so lucky and die of a bullet, is called murder or by a major infection caused by AIDS...
Those people are dying the less lucky way.

Lucky - unlucky is really not the reason for MY post.

These are MY feelings and MY thoughts about My Pope.

I am sure that there are many out there today with AIDS or people who have lost a loved one through MURDER, that are praying for this man too.

I am sorry that you obviously do not feel the same way.

It is good that you appear to be such a loving and caring person, but
please allow me this post, to say how I feel at this moment about this person, who means so much to so many.

This is not a post to make light of others suffering but to relieve mine.

This you have not allowed me to do.

This I must add, like many I know suffering, have suffered and do still suffer every day of my life and will do so till I die. So I am afraid that you are preaching to the wrong person about people who "suffer"

I wish you peace and joy.

Maybe...

I'm sorry that I'm not allowing you to relieve your suffering.

bajo, this is not the issue in here.
IS true that so many human beeing suffer for various reasons and any sain person should feel sorry about that and try to do want is possible to stop that.

Also many many people can "enjoy" a peacefull death, either are simple people in peace with themselves or very rich people who have 20 doctors around them...so waht??? should we damn them?

On top of that the real diffrence between those and Joan Paul II is that man made a lot of good things for a lot bilions of people.

LEt's not enter on history teritory. This man is one of the greatest of the 30th century. In my opinion Vatican's influence in politics of the wold is much more important than most of the people realize.

SO because of that i have great respect and gratitude for Pope's personality.
Although i am Othodox like most of romanians i am still crestian and I feel sad about all this. Is sad that such good people pass but that is life.

Now, when the Joan Paul is on the stars, i present my respects again and i only hope his memory will guide the church to continue the good things he brought.
May his soul rest in peace and god forgive his human mistakes. And may humans walking on his paths to be more faithfull and love each other.

I am not a Catholic, but I deeply respect this man, who happens to be of Polish descent. The first non Italian Pope since the 1500`s who has been totally embraced by Catholic faithful around the world. He was a very intelligent man and his knowledge was only surpassed by his faith. He reached out to all people, everywhere and held fast while those who wished to liberalize his church tried to persuade him otherwise. He was instrumental for the destruction of the Berlin wall and a champion in the fight for freedom for people all over this world. "well done, my good and faithful servant' .God blessed earth with Pope John Paul.
