The first pain came hard and sudden, like a bolt of lightening, my chest felt like it exploded, fortunately I was behind the Gazebo at the barbque when it hit, I bent over suddenly, confused and in pain, I began to massage my chest, Bam ! again this time not quite as bad, like someone trying to kick a heel of a boot through my chest. It took a few minutes to subside, I grabbed my wife and said "lets go". I went to bed and woke up, thinking nothing of it. My son and I got in the car to take him to school about 7:15 AM, about 7:20 I was doubled up in pain ,leaning over to my sons seat, he asked "dad, are you alright?" I said "yeah". Monday AM was a tough one, I went to work and noticed my left hand tingling, I went and talked to my boss, she asked me some questions and saw the look on my face. I was at the hospital ER in ten minutes. It was now 11:00. While I waited I Was a little scared, was I having a heart attack ? I just turned 47 and have gained 60 pounds over the last three years. "Eat and drink for tomorrow you may die". Its more like if you eat and drink too much you will surely die. They hooked my up did an EKG, took about a gallon of blood, and did chest Xrays and gave me a shot or two for pain. I passed out. When I came around the Dr. was there. " Mr Espinoza" there is nothing wrong with you, your heart and lungs look excellent, Bloodwork was fine and EKG reading is normal". I told him of the sudden pains in my chest that doubled me over, the tightness in my jaw when I woke up, the tingling sensation in my hand and lower arm, my fatigue and labored breathing lately. He said I need to lose some weight, drop my blood pressure and I`d be fine. Now I know how Sancho felt, he is better by the way. I know something is wrong because I can feel it. I guess my next step is a specialist and an EKG under stress. ER is a drag. Wish me luck or pray for me, whatever your cup o`tea.

wow... I am really sorry ..and i hope you feel better soon. I know it is frustrating to not be able to figure out what is wrong with you. Hopefully they have some luck in pinpointing the problem.

Well, I think it's either something in the water there in Arizona, or somebody was jealous of Sancho getting all the attention :P

J/K Dave, you know we love ya, get better quick, we're thinking about you. :ok:

Sorry to hear you've been ill. It's scary being ill and them not knowing what's causing it. Could be a panic attack, they can feel just like heart attacks. Get the stress EKG AND an endoscopy!

Get well soon! My prayers are with ya.

Signed,
Another one of the need to move more and eat less club

Dave, I hope everything is ok. When I first started reading this, it scared me half to death. Do whatever you can to find out what is wrong and if you don't like what the doctor says, get another opinion fast from another doctor. I almost died 3 years ago when I went to a doctor complaining of chest pain, he sent me home telling me all I had was a cold and 3 days later I was in intensive care with Pulminary Embolisms in my lungs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please keep us posted and take care!

Dave, I'm tired of worrying about you guys! Honestly man I have enough to worry about ok? ;) Glad to hear you're feeling better. Ya know a few years back, before I got a dog, I was living in a high-rise luxury condo, there was a restaurant in the lobby, I had my own bottle behind the bar and ate four course dinners every night - steaks, lobster, you name it, every night. I took on the proportions of a pumpkin and my knees and back started to go. When I got a dog I started improving my diet and exercising regularly. It's tough getting yourself to pack up and go to the gym, or harness the dogs and head out into the rain for a run but I learned something, after it's done you never look back and think, "I wish I hadn't done that". You never regret getting exercise and the unbridled joy your dogs show every time you bring out the harnesses is the most touching thing in the world. You get stronger and if you take it easy those old injuries slowly mend, you get more wind, you look better, you wake up in the morning feeling healthier and younger. And you are. So for Sancho's sake and for your sake, pick something easy to start, make time in your schedule and do it. You have priorities like everyone but you find out that exercise can be a priority too. I want to hear about your first excursion soon. Now get better.
