How old do the dogs need to be to get them tested?

Look at frequently asked questions here. 16 weeks and up, with accuracy increasing to one year, but deemed reliable at 16 weeks as well.

I checked the site, and the Vet hospital right next door to my work happens to be listed :) I called, and they said its about $275 to have the procedure done...seem normal?

My vet (near the Wash DC area) was 180 for ofa and 250 for penn-hip, so yes thats about the right price

Above this post you will see (in the header) a "search" option. You will find a ton of information if you will type in "PennHip" and do a search.
While certain groups have stubbornly claimed that OFA is a better method
the superiority of PennHip is becoming more and more obvious. Those who really want to use the best diagnostic method to ascertain the hip status of their breeding stock will use the PennHip method.
