Funny watching them develop. Seven who'd impressed me so much the first two weeks is slipping back in the pack, not so sure of herself anymore, while Five and Six, my sweet little runts, have turned into aggressive, voracious, squirming little bitches. Especially Five, who looks for all the world like such an innocent. She's becoming a real pistol, barks when she sees you, growls if you pick her up.

Senses all acute, I came in this morning and said 'good morning puppies' in a soft voice and they all leaped out of a sound sleep, 'Grrruff, yipe yipe yipe!!'

Introduced semi-solid food a few days ago, for three days. Decided to give them a day off, they were wearing most of it. Last two days I put down a big batch, blended a cup of cottage cheese, two cups of formula, half-cup of yogurt, two eggs. They just devoured it all in a minute. They're all passed out now, looking a little like Jabba the Hutt.

Trimmed their nails again yesterday. All 126 of them. Golly. Lots of work ahead.

The heartbreak with pups is that people will tell you they will do one thing with them , and not do it. They will seem like outstanding owners , and not be. You will put your heart and soul into a litter and most people just want a friend . I guess that aint so bad, but not what you expected.
You have been meticulous with this litter since pre conception and they have some outstanding dogs in their pedigree, you have a right to be choosey about heir homes. I get the feeling that you will miss each and every one. We do. Make sure that you keep them close.

oops, meant to answer that .. that xoxo site is the manufacturer, these guys are resellers

http://www.dogsafieldonline.com/shop/default.asp

nice site and good customer support. I got the whelping box and weaning pen attachment, added the pen after 2 1/2 weeks. it was getting pretty crowded in there. I had to cut a door in the top of the pen so bess can get in and out, I don't understand what they were thinking when they designed it. But it's a really nice, easy to clean.

Thank you both for the links. I'm buying one of these if they send ti Europe. Looks great. Light, good to clean, 3 years guarenty... :ok:

What size do you guys use. X-tra large?

hi, yea you might want to get the extra large, I have the large size and it was prefect for the delivery then started to seem smaller and smaller. Leerburg recommends a 5'x5' (1.5x1.5m) box for large dogs. the weaning pen pen adds a lot of room when the puppies start to walk, working out well.

shipping is pretty expensive, but it's pretty durable, when I got the pen the box it was in had been mangled but the pen was ok.

here's something from dogsafield about international shipping

http://www.dogsafieldonline.com/Shop/Default.asp?ProdTypeList=Whelping

if you order from the manufacturer don't use their online form, made me really mad, it says "secure order form" but you look and it's http not https, so your credit card goes out in clear text, really misleaing on their part

well that wasn't quite the right link, good grief, what bad web sites. there's a "help" link on there somewhere and you can find your way to shipping info if you dig for it
