I can't wait to see your pictures of your new pup! It's so exciting, and boy do they grow fast. My baby is now eight months and just broke 100 pounds. Still thinks she's a lap dog. Perhaps in the mean time you can post pics of your pup's sire and dam.

I cant figure out how to post photos or I would. Maybe I can e-mail them to someone so they can post for me???

Ibetdogg, I am glad to hear you have had a positive experience with them also. Our puppy is out of Simba x Big Momma who are 1/2 siblings sharing the same sire and outcross dams. I also liked what I have heard of the grandsire and his looks arent bad either :D

I am debating waiting on his ear crop until I he is old enough to Pen hip at 16 weeks old...has anyone else done this?

The earlier the ear crop is done ( within reason ) the better. My vet was very hesitant to do my pup at 12 weeks! The longer you wait, it may be harder for them to stand, more complications, etc. Some people have no problems.. some people do. I feel it's best to do them between 9 and 12 weeks or so. I'm no expert though, just personal experience. :D

It is also a bigger risk to put a heavier dog under anesthetic.. another reason my vet was hesitant.

and coming from a background in Dobermans with long show crops I understand the standing part ;)

I just am trying to avoid haveing to sedate him twice if I possibly can.
