General Informations: Timba is a very sweet girl. Like most Presas she is obedient, loyal and bonds strongly with her owners. Timba is initially little shy, but then affectionate and playful...particularly with women. She is distrustful of some men. Timba would do best in a loving, dog-knowledgable home....particularly with people knowleadgable about this type of breeds. She is a purebred Presa Canario. She would do best in a home without small children because she might accidentally knock them over while playing.
Timba is a dominant female when it comes to food and toys with other dogs; she would be best as an only dog or with a non dominant male playmate. Probably best is a home without cats; she will chase a cat who runs from her, but she is fine with self-assured, fully-clawed kitties who are not intimidated by dogs.
Timba is now a healthy 80 pounds dog, with a great looking coat. She turned 2 years old in January 2004. Timba was originally purchased by someone who just wanted to breed her for money, without giving her proper nutrition and attention. Sadly, she was kept kenneled in a basement 23 hours a day. Despite this neglect, she is a loving and trusting dog who bonds vey quickly to nice people. Timba is spayed, currently on vaccionations and microchip-ided.
