I wanted to say thanks to Butch for his council on how I can save my dog. I spent some time on the phone with him and well I think I was a little bit better at explaining Hooligans problem over the phone than on the boards. Basically its more of my own insecurities at handling Hooligan than it is Hooligans attitude. I have always said that he was a great dog...but honestly after listening to some people on here I was beginning to doubt my ability to handle an adult dog whose background I did not know...I have the same desire to care for and respect the breed as all of you do I am just not a breeder. I have extensive knowledge of dogs and I know rescue dogs better than most people. I want to personally thank Butch for helping me realize that I am not only smart enough to care for this dog but that I have the common sense that one needs to care for a breed like this. Friday I am going to go pick up Hooligan for his booster rabies and we are going to start some training and socialization. I guess all of the thoughts I had on the subject were pretty darn good ones so wish us luck ...I am bringing my baby home. THANK YOU again Butch.
