this may be stupid but here it goes I want to train my 4 month old presa to the very basics as he is enrolled in obedience training once he is 7 months.for the intrem is the any advice you can give me as far as basic comands sit, stay, come and to walk by your side on a leash as he either falls behind or wonders ahead he does'nt really pull but he goes everywhere in front behind side to side.

How do I go about it when and how do you promote good things and how do you deal with the mistakes, treats? How often should I train and for how long? thanks

Hey Ozzy, great questions, good goals, but, maybe a little too broad to cover on a message board. May I suggest the book "How to Be Your Dogs' Best Friend" by the Monks of New Skete. It is one of the best books I have found for new dog owners. It should answer all your questions, and with out all the typos and misspelling you would get from me.

If you have something more specific let me know, but pups as young as 8 weeks are very trainable. So get a copy of the book and start enjoying the little one.
