That is a pretty long list of competitors ! How many dogs are anticipated at the event in Texas ?

All of them, and more, according to what Butch tells me. It should be a trial to behold.

I had a chance to watch an old video this weekend it was a K9PS trial in Compton , a long time ago. I was surprised at the turnout ! I have never been to a protection trial with that many spectators.

Thanks for the nice comment, about the spectators, and I might add you aint seen nothing yet! This years World championships are likely to have SRO crowds.

K9PS was created with the public in mind. Our average finals, in El Paso,
had about 300 specatators, some a lot more, some less but always more than you would see at any "tuff dog" event. And no one has ever left dissaponted at the show they see. As one handler told me at the first trial in Mexico "Now I know what a rock star feels like". With the advertising we had in Mexico there was over 4 thousand people watching and they did get excited.

One reason for the popularity of our shows is the system we use for our finals. Unlike most dog shows that have a "national" show K9PS has a true Championship. We have a "Club" trial which is a local event mostly, then a "Regional" where the fees are higher and the points harder to earn and then the Championship. Our finals are all invitational. So like all other major sports, K9PS has a true playoff system. This also means that the level of competition at each level increases. Teams that have appeared to win a lot of club trials, and looked invincible, may finish near the bottom at a finals when the best from all over get together.

We try to put on a really good show that educates, as well as entertains JQP, while giving our atheletes an opportunity to be really appreciated and hear aplause for all the hard work they have put in.

Come on down and join us for a week of everything "done doggy"
