blas_t,
Glad things are going well with your training.
Start your tug work by keeping it short and energetic. Try to watch your dog and see when he/she is putting out extra effort to win, that is the time to give a win and turn loose.
I watch to see the head jerking and trying, biteing, hard, win!
Then at the next "game" I tug until they are using their front feet along with their head and neck to give the win, and I increase the amount of effort the dog uses at each session.
From there I just keep the fighting intense and full of energy when they win the tug, leave them wanting more.
A little trick you might try, if you are going to do PP work as an adult, is to start each tug session with whatever alert command you are going to use when your dog is an adult. Starting now will teach the dog that on that command there is always some thing to bite coming at them.
Good training
