PP work and Hog Catching

This may be a dumb question but I thought that I would ask anyway, if you are training a dog in PP will it screw him up or set hime back to do some hog catching ?

Luv it! I am actually doing some experiments with some ABs' on this right now. I have a 3 yr old that is a catch champ and his sister that has never caught, starting both in PP work. 2cd dog was 18 months when I got him. Had just started hog catching (very good at it) and I started PP work at about the same time.

Right now I see conditioned reflexes, in fighting style, that were developed in the experienced hog dog carrying over to the PP work.
I think the dog that started both at the same time has had the PP work affect the hog work more, but I didn't get to see the last catch and am waiting for the video to affirm that.

When the sister has got the PP work down I will put her on her first hog and see what affects we have. I will also have a few others I will be working with in various stages of training in both disciplines.

At the moment it is still laborotory work but as soon as I can come to some definite conclusions I will let this board know, if there is any interest?
