I feed my pup Maxximum Nutrition from Wal-Mart. They have a couple different kinds but I always get the one with Lamb as the main ingredient. It's the black and silver bag.

I am not a vet but with experience with dogs in the past i would say it is probaly the food it is eating, also have it checked for worms as far is food I feed my prea puppy Royal Canin Giant Breed and Sensible Choice puppy lamb and rice and Hana is looking great, the better the food the less waste your dog will have. :ok:

I also started Paylee on Nutro Lamb and Rice. She only poops 3-4 times a day. She scarves this food as fast as raw food.
:ok:
I tried her on Science Diet at first and she would go to the bathroom 5-7 times/day.

Trysh,
I just read an article on dog foods and it included 6 pages of various brands of dog foods, the ingredients, and nutrional breakdown. This was very interesting.

It sounds like it very well may be the food. I would check with your vet first to make sure it is not anything else and then try another food formula.

After reading this article I am leaning towards two and they are Bill-Jac and Blue for Puppies.

I am hoping to be a Presa owner...maybe the end of June - early July. :)

I feed raw and normally dogs go once; rarely twice per day. No large "landmines" and they turn white and crumble away. A common complaint with kibble is large and messy "landmines"; think how much is being "wasted!"

I have never fed my dogs a brand that can be bought at a super market. I look for all the complete nutrientsand I grew up in a household that never bought food from general stores. So, I just keep the traditional going, lol. Usually, I dont even gear to food that can be bought at Petco or Petsmart. I buy at a Pet "Boutique" in NYC or over the computer. One of the best brands on the market, Wellness, does not even seem suitable. I did feed him Nutro and he bloated and had horrible gas. I'm stuck on this situation because I think I've tried everything. What's next? To think, I thought my 2.5 pound full- grown Yorkie would have an eating problem...lol.

The waste that comes from Intimadator Has Not much smell to the small stools that are left, No piles! Most of the food seems to be absorbed into the body! Also you could Sumliment feed Calf Manna Which is also good for Pregnant females & lactating Females to help produce more & better milk during nursing. You can get Calf Manna At most feed stores & give your dog a small handfull per day calf Manna Cost about 10.00 per 25# bag. Most Dogs like the taste of calf Manna

We feed Nutro Large Breed Adult and Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice supplemented by the BARF (Bones and Raw Food) diet. We've never been real raw food folks, but have loved the results (less stool, cleaner teeth on the adults, less kibble consumed, and they love it). If I had a larger freezer, I'd do it more often. They also get table scraps of anything remotely healthy we eat. Nutro is great, and I've never had problems with a dog on it, but gets expensive ($28.99 a bag here).

We tried Nutro for a while but he bloated and had horrible gas. That's what everyone is telling me to do, BARF...Can he get sick from it?

Well, yeah, and there's people on the board that know a lot more about it than I. Check the web, too, there are numerous resources. The mistake we made (I later found out) was introducing two many different kinds of proteins (chicken, beef, pork, etc.) at once. This didn't cause much upset in my dogs, but can cause vomiting (so they say). It's very interesting to read about and can be inexpensive.
