St. Patrick's Day Pull, 3rd place

Just got back from the our last IWPA pull of the season - there's another across the mountains next weekend but I ain't going - Bess weighed in today at 98 lbs. and took third place with 2,180 lbs., 22.24% pull. Second place Bulldozer pulled 2,420 and first place Sebasion spanked us all with a new track record of 3,380. Got my eye on Dozer, we beat him once and tied him once on lbs. at the last pull, but he was looking pretty good out there today. Ugh, tired, long day.

It sounds like you are movin in on Dozer ! ! I think that you both will probably sleep like rocks tonight ! I cant wait until September when I can see Bessie strut her stuff again ! Any pics ?

Bess took 4th place today with 2,420 lbs. & 24.69%, cracking WD III on a tough track. She tied with Dozier on weight but lost on time. Boomer pulled 2,900 and Sebastion pulled 3,140.

Ps. That's Sebastion in the background. Don't let anybody ever tell you a Johnson bulldog can't work. That dog is unbeatable.

I tell some of my friends around here how much Bessie can pull. :eek: They get a weird look on there face like they think I am talking off the wall until they look at some pictures of her pulling. :eek: They are amazed that a Presa can pull like she does. Great job Joe and Bessie :ok:

I told my dad about weight pulling and how much Bessie pulls, he just shook his head, although not much takes him by suprise with this breed anymore!

How much does the AB weigh and what is the breed and wt of the dog that won?

Dana, Sebastion is the dog you see in the background. He is the #1 dog in region 2 and the #2 dog in the nation. He holds the UKC Rail Pull record. He is a 15/16 Johnson American Bulldog and weighed in Saturday at 96 lbs. Bess once came within a single pull of him, but he's been training hard for Nationals and blew us away last weekend.

Just wait til next year .... ;)

Joe it has been very enjoyable watching you and Miss Bess making progress and making a name for yourselves in Weight Pull. I look forward to watching you guys represent at the UKC Premeire and in the future. Bess is one of the sweetest dogs I`ve ever met and she has an owner that walks the walk. Good girl Bessie ! !
