azespo in your previous post about the International presa canario alliance you sumed up exactly what the IPCA goals are. We do not want to focus on this vs that but, the great aspects of this breed. The working abilty, health, temp, and eliminating the new colors and every backyard breeder that gets two dog breeding them together. We dont want to see dogs that clearly have no resemblance of presas being called presas and people getting duped. We eventually want to have events where all owners can come together and work/show etc. their dogs. Anyways in your previos post you hit it right on the head and would love to have all of you over there focusing on the good qualities of this breed. If this post is out of line then feel free to take it down. No hard feelings. Please stop by and share your imput with the rest of our community. Please remember what the alliance was formed for, and please respect the wishes of the board. I know arguments are going to happen but lets focus on other things and keep the bickering to a minimum. Thanks, Randy

Randy,
I looked over your board and to be honest, I don't see it - basically same sh*t, different day.
Beyond the flower talk, what is it you're doing? What did you mean by "eliminating the new colors and every backyard breeder..." What colors are you talking about? How new are these colors? How do you define a backyard breeder? How are you going to carry out your elimination? Sorry, too many questions already. I don't mean disrespect, but... I have a point to make. The animal fancy is an absurd place and I've learned to be skeptical of lofty ideas. Getting anything done is just a lot of hard, thankless work. Just wondering how you're going to go about it.
Joe
Ps. Who are you? Do you have a dog?

I looked over the board as well and had some of the same ideas as Joe. I'm all for intelligent, challenging conversations. People don't always have to agree and we don't have to sit around holding hands and acting like friends but that has turned into one huge childish pissing match.
I mean no offense to anyone but I have to be honest.
The arguing that's going on over there would be halfway amusing if it weren't for the fact that it is also *frustrating* that not one person realizes how completely stupid it sounds.
Nobody is changing anybody's mind. Nobody seems to like the other guy. Seems like a big, fat waste of time to me.
Give it a rest. Go outside and do something with your dog.

You have to wonder if these so called educated Presa owners even have a Presa

That is a good question Ruth, Oh wait a minute they dont have Presas, they have dogos. It seems to some of them Presa is a bad word. But what ever I give up I'm done with that forum. Any way I'm taking Alexa out to the property tomorrow and let her run her little heart out :ok: . Maybe she can find something to chase :bite: . I'll get video dave

Randy, I appreciate the invite and the sentiment. I have received a few e-mails and heads up aboout the board and have visited to read myself.
There is not an Alliance of any kind there. You are a mini Dogo Canario Club board trying to disguise yourself as a new and refreshing alternative.
Posts critical of Dogos are deleted and posts critical of Presas stay. All moderators are owners of CEDC type Dogo Canario. Your claim to objectivity is false , based on what I have seen written on your board. The Dogo and the Presa will continue to go their seperate ways and I am grateful of that. The Dogo board is dead, different "look" same people. I see you as a spawn. Good luck with the Dogos, you`ll need it.

I am sorry that sum of you feel that way. The IPCA board has been up and running for about 2 weeks now. All of the moderators are not cedc and no we are not a mini dcca board. Azespo How did you change your mind so quick. In your prevoius post you did not have the opinion that you have now. We welcome the presa people and the dogo people we don't care what club your a member of but what will your dog do? Lets get together and have shows and tt and pp events. Yes the IPCA is in the beggining stages but we have big plans and would like to welcome yall aboard. BTW yes I do own dogs and yes I work them every day. Just go to my web and you can see. I am looking for a "presa Person" to help moderate right now actually. This is claerly not going to be easy to accomplish but I believe that with hard work some people can come together to working events, etc. If not then I am wrong but it can not hurt to try. Thanks, Randy Oh yeah and as far as taking post down only people who are slandering each other and using rough language are taken down just as people who do the same here are done.

Randy, with respect.... I have not changed my mind. It is still refreshing to see and hear that you guys are persuing "work" in some form or another. I sincerly ,wish you the best in your endeavor. BTW, I have not had conversation with anybody on your board as someone has insinuated.

Azespo, Thanks, man thats what we want to do. focus on work. An alliance is not something that can be put together in a few weeks, it is something that will take time. I believe with alot of hard work that the IPCA can inform the public and show them how great this breed is and show them the strong points of this breed. Randy

Randy, Thanks to the effort of The UPPCC the Perro de Presa Canario is recognized by the UKC and can now participate in UKC sanctioned weight pulls, Confirmation events, Agility and obedience trials and now a BRAND NEW PROTECTION venue ! ! ! I think it is awesome that the people who fought us and lost will now be competing against us in UKC events under the name of Presa Canario. . It was all about preserving the historically accurate name, color, type and temperment of the Perro de Presa Canario.
It was about giving people all over this country LOCAL venues to compete in. We have done more to advance the Presa and provide more opportunities to showcase them than any one club or group. The UPPCC does not discriminate against Dogos and have many in our club and we will continue to breed the best dogs to the best dogs regardless of the label ,continue with our deep pedigreed Presas as the core of our efforts. We already have an Alliance of like minded people who own Presa and Dogo, perhaps you should pay your dues and join the UPPCC.
We are The original Alliance of Presa and Dogo owners.

Post deleted by IPCA:
i will clear this up right now, i am not bashing the Dogo Canario , i own a nice one, i am just trying to put to light years of negitive publicity brought by the DCCA towards anything but their Dogo Canario. there are inconsistant breedings on both sides of the fence, one is not better than the other. i see a trend that the dogo is taking(over weight , disfunctional animal) and have spoken out about this. this is an opinion , not the bashing of someones pet. the dogo canario is not the only presa canario out there , in fact it isnt presa anymore, the Spanish officials decided to take a different road in name and standard. this is not to say there are not good dogo's, there are .
there is alternative that is as legitamate as the FCI dogo, that is correct and functional. dont believe the hype. Do your research , ask questions and make your own dicision.
Dont believe the lies that have been spred to sell a product.
i have no understanding as to why this would be removed? i tried to make my self clear that i was not bashing anyones dogs but trying to be informative.
Dave , you were right, this is a feeble attempt to jump on the tail coats of the el presa board, in order to try and give a positive image to the dogo canario.

Randy,
I think you have good intentions and I do wish you sucess with your board.
Unfortunately, as much as anyone claims it isn't, to me it very clearly *is* an "us" vs. "them" thing. Your board created new "ground" for those on both sides to "meet." You see, very rarely does one person from one board (ie; "group") go to the other to post. There are those exceptional people who are able to get along with everyone and then there are those who who venture outside of the group, cause trouble, get banned and made fun of, yada yada.
To me, it's out of hand and I have no interest in making fun of or fighting with anyone. I know I have a great dog and I know other people, no matter what group they belong to, have great dogs, too. Life is too short and there are a hell of a lot worse things happening in the world to waste precious time in a keyboard war.
And when I said "Go outside and do something with your dogs," I meant everyone. Not just the ones from the other "group."
Just my humble opinion,
Jennifer

Todd I do not know what post you are talking about being taken down. If there was one that was taken down it was the whole topic and thats only because some people got out of hand over there. Same thing that would have happened if a dogo person got out of hand about a person over here. If you dont want to post and add your imput over there then that is your decision. I dont know why but I feel that you think the IPCA is out to get you guys which is clearly not the case. Anyways feel free to give me a call 770-403-9891 Thanks, Randy

Today was short and sweet, I imagine tomorrow will be longer. Today my wife came to get Nisa socialized an accustomed to the field. Nisa deSancho is looking very good. Joe called from the weightpull, it looks like Fred Lanting is on for the Utah get together ! ! Fred will critique each dog, Judge the Show and will tell us about the latest hip test news.
............ sorry I got on a tangent :) Here is my 100% Spanish blooded , deep pedigreed ,prey driven Presa Canario, Sancho having some fun with his friends !

I put this post here is because this is what it is all about. Not sitting around the keyboard revisiting old and stupid arguments with morons.
Jennifer is right. When I ask what did you do with your dog this weekend ?on Monday, I would hope to see some nice pictures of dogs doing what they love to do. Spending time with their owners in the activity of their choice ! More pictures tomorrow !

Those are *great* pictures, Dave.
We're on our way out the door now. It's sunny and 67 degrees. Perfect weather for being out and about. :) I'll send you some pictures.
What's the weather like in Arizona? It's looks warm, but not too warm to do anything.

Dave, nice to see you back again, still thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
Randy, when I first saw your post a while back about your forum, the first thing that popped into my head was why don't you try to make an established forum better? Pick one you agree with, and be active, help out, share knowledge, see what you can do to help...rather than start another one, drag people away, or whatever? It seems you could do the same thing on the already established forums. Anyway, everyone wants their own franchise I guess. Just a thought.
It's cloudy as heck here today, so no pictures, but I would have loved one of the puppy following me as I mowed...sound of the mower didn't phase her one bit!
