Totally impressed!!!! That is all I can say about the Denmark dog people.
I am posting this quick update so everyone knows we are back in the country and I will post more notices about the entire experience as time allows.

I am sure Rob Boudreau, will bear me out in this experience and look forward to his comments as well.

Here is a very brief recap, until later.

First Dogge de Bordeau to enter a K9PS trial also wins PP, with a certifying score for 1st leg! 2 conformation winning Presas’ show they are not just “pretty faces” they will be up and running at titles in a very short while.

How dedicated are the Danish trainers? I was there training for 10 days, no one missed a day. In fact, when we ran a few minutes late, getting to the training field, they would call to see if everything was all right. Some worked as security at night and couldn’t take off from work, so they just pulled their shift, drove to the training field and waited to start training! This was in weather that never saw the freezing mark !!!

And the police and military trainers? In Denmark you can call them ‘trainers” not “handlers” because they do not import titled dogs from brokers to be retrained. They raise and train their own dogs! After only a few minutes into the competition I remembered why, in the late 70s’ and early 80s’, Denmark was considered the capital for PSDs’

After working with these trainers I was humbled to be invited back to train with them at their facility this summer. So how good are they? Well at first I thought Darrel Thornton had stuffed Nerf into a GSD hide and shipped him over. If these boys can get to the finals (they say they will) it will be exciting and informative to see what they bring.

How about “sport” dog reps? Well how about a Mal that has represented Denmark at the IPO World Games for 3 years?

Facility? how about an indoor Training facility used to train the police and Queens horses!

Fans? Close to 100 spectators watching and CHEERING!

Media? The national TV news filmed most of it and the main story on the 2 nightly news casts featured K9PS and all in the most fair, upbeat, positive manner you could imagine!!! One of the countries Extreme Sports magazines will be featuring K9PS in an upcoming issue!!!

Well, I am still trying to figure out which day it really is, so I will wait for Rob to add what ever he feels like, head to the store for a bottle of Cognac ( can you believe I said that?) and start getting ready for the first US trial in MEMPHIS Tenn!!!! SKOL!

Butch, I hope that you haven`t laid too far into that bottle of Cognac by the time that you read this ! ! Congtratulations ! ! It sounds like you had a great time and froze the ol nuggets ! ! Can you tell us more about the Presas ? , were they as defensively postured as what youve worked with here or did they actually have a good amount of Prey ? Did you get any Presa pictures to share with us ?. Speaking about the Queen and training I understand she has a daughter with some very naughty Bull Terriers, you shoulda got her arse out there ! ! Welcome back ! Glad that you had such a grand ol time ! !

Hi,

Hello Butch :ok: have you gotten your voice back ? :) .. It was very funny when I saw You in the danish tv. Your voice was allmost gone, but it was a very good programme and we got a very good response from dog people in Denmark. After You and Rob have worked with our Presa's, I can really feel the difference so once again Thank You very much for what You have done here in Denmark.

I'm new here and I hope that some of my questions about Presa's can be answered. Because in Denmark we only have about 20-25 Presa's and they have all been imported. There have never been born a Presa in Denmark. I will be the first in Denmark with new born Presa Puppies. I know some about Presa's from books and I have been traveling, 3 times, to The Canarian Islands and getting information about Presa's history. And I hope that some of you guys can tell me something about working with Presa's.

Check out my website, where You also can see some pictures of my 2 Presa's. They have both won 1st prizes here in Denmark.

Robin,

Glad you found the Presa board. For those of you that don't know Robin is one of the premier Presa breeders in Denmark, very sincere in trying to start the breeds popularity and in learning all he can about raising and training good dogs.

As I told you Robin, if you have Presa questions this is the source for accurate info. I look forward to seeing you post from time to time.

I can't believe anyone could hear me on the TV interview, but am glad
it came out ok.

Thanks again for all you did to make my trip one of the best I have ever taken, Say hello to Sesse (again thanks for the scarf) and pet Nomi & Presa for me.

My to female presa's are from a polish police man who got a nice kennel in polland. He is very serious about his presa breeding and the perrents are well priced. The mother is a world winning champ and the father is also has a lot of first prices.

Are there anyone here who will be at the european exhibition in Madrid?

Untill next time.
