I think it is a great topic. Look at the OFA database and you will see how committed people are about it. Cathy, you are correct it is 2003 , our breeders code of ethics will officially kick in and be enforcable in 2oo4. We picked a date of 2oo4 because we did not anticipate recognition until then. We are doing something on a national level.we have set dates,and we are making progress on a large scale. We set a date far enough in advance so there are no excuses. Manuel Curto will come over to offer written critique on UPPCC registered dogsand he insisted he would evaluate them ONLY IF THEIR HIPS ARE TESTED ACCORDING TO OUR CODE OF ETHICS. This is an incentive for all of us to get it done before the specialty 6 montths away. There will be a time when UPPCC dogs dominate the OFA registry. Why have health testing if you are going to make exceptions and excuses and not enforce them ? Instead of saying congrats on one of the toughest code of ethics of any UKC breed club you want to bag on us ? Your true colors are very vivid.......
