UKC wightpull,Bessie and Joe

I just got of the phone with Joe Brown. Today he went to a weightpull with Bessie in Renton Washington. The weightpull was sponsored by the Cascade American Pit Bull club, which is a UKC club. Bessie made us all very proud today, she Pulled 515 pounds in a "Snow Pull" and took second place in her class, she was beat out of first by 9/100`s of a percent !! Joe promises us pictures. He called me from his motel room and seemed to be in the celebration mode ! ! he met alot of people and answered alot of questions regarding the Presa Canario and recognition by the UKC. He was also invited to join a local club that consists of some very dedicated weightpullers. YOU GO BESSIE !! Joe and Jenn (owner of Choya de Sancho) may get the opportunity to meet at the event tomorrow. Maybe Jenn will get another something to consider ! !

Yes, I'm going tomorrow. I'm glad to hear he and Bes are there and that they did well in Renton! I'm really looking forward to meeting them! I'll get pictures, too.

We just got home, what a wild drive across that Pass! Nothing like the Italian Alps but enough for me anyway!

Well lessee .... met Jennifer (hi Jenn!) we had a great time hanging out, she bought Bessie & me a fast-food lunch (thanks!) and Bessie did pretty well, I think 5th of 11 dogs, finished Working Dog Excellent and earned another leg towards Working Dog Superior with a 2,300 lb. pull.


Anyway, I'm beat, but we got a lot of good pictures, I'll try to get them up next couple days...

I am so glad to hear the two of you made it back safe. I am also really glad to have met both of you. Congratulations on a job well done! And you are welcome for lunch, it was great to watch Bes with her head in the food bag! The funniest thing was that it had been sitting there in the same spot for over an hour and she went right to it when she was done pulling! :)

For those of you who have never met Bes, she is even more beautiful in person than she is in her pictures!
