Choya is going to a wonderful family in Seattle Washingtom, Jenn and the crew will have their hands full  Choya is fearless and Jenn is thinking of therapy work with her. I wish I could be there when they pick up their girl at the airport ! The Thompson family is in for a treat !!

That is definitely one of my very favorite pictures of her! She just keeps getting cuter and cuter each time I see her!
And don't worry about not being able to be there when we pick her up. My mom has a digital camera attached to her hip at all times. You'll get the whole thing!
Thank you Dave,
Jennifer :P

That's a nice looking pup!
I have received three pups via the airways and have felt much anticipation and also anxiety for all three the day of their arrival. It's like all the Christmas' you have ever celebrated rolled into one.

Sarco is a very nice dog and he is as easy going as his dad and shows the same drive.
Choya is very confident and alert, fearless and inquisitive. Her formal name is Choya de Sanco but we can call her Choya de Stroya ;)

Thank you all for the nice comments regarding Choya.
She is a college graduation present. My family wanted to throw me a big expensive party but I'm not a "party" person so I asked if I could have a puppy instead. So, I know what you mean Fred, it's been like being a kid again on Christmas Eve ever since I picked her from the litter. :)
And I will most definitely keep you all posted on her progress as she grows. I feel like a new mother, and you all know how new mothers are...

I am also graduating in these months. What did you study Jennifer?
As graduation present I would choose a trip to the Canaries...
as now I cannot take a pup ;)
I think this time I am really going there. I really really look forward to do that.
:D

I recently earned my Master's of Education in Counseling Psychology from Washington State University. After completing a 2 1/2 year program and studying for *months* for an eight hour exam comprised of all essay questions, I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with myself now that I *just* have a full time job and a family! Choya will keep me busy, I'm sure! :)
A trip to the Canaries would be great, maybe if I decide to go for a doctorate...:) I tell my parents that I keep going to school for the graduation presents! :)
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! That is awesome! What are you studying???
Take care,
Jennifer

Jennifer,
I am graduating in economy of the financial markets at the Bocconi University of Milan, and I just finished to write the thesis (about weather derivatives  )
Congrats for your master!

A thesis, wow. While I was studying for my exam I sort of wished it was a thesis option. Actually, I primary just wished for mercy from the committee members who were to read my answers to the essay questions. :)
How does it work in Italy? Do you have to go defend your thesis before a committee/panel?
And speaking of Italy, I think I would wish for a trip there, too. Oh, and Autrailia....:) I'd like to go see Steve Irwin's crocodiles.
What do you and Tigre do together? Anything special? :)

I only say I wished it was a thesis option because I feel like writing a thesis (although no doubt extremely difficult) would have been much more *interesting* and much more *productive* than endlessly discussing such things as Freud.
Don't get me wrong, Freud is my very favorite (I have a Freud "action figure" on my bookshelf), but I think a person would be hard pressed to find anyone who actually practices the pure form of Freudian psychoanalysis. Not to mention convincing their insurance company to pay for it! :)
I just didn't want you think I thought writing a thesis would be any easier than answering essay questions because I certainly don't. I got to thinking about it and I worried that was how I came across...
But this really has nothing to do with Presas, does it? :) :)

Jenn, Do not worry about how Paolo will take you, he is very intelligent and very grounded ! This is about Presas but there is nothing wrong with a little off topic chit chat, that is what a community is all about ! ! ! It is nice to know we have some scholars among us ! ! Two years of college was all I could handle, the girls and the beer were much more interesting ! :D

Hi Jen,
do not worry...
I perfectly understand :ok:
I am not this kind of person: :toomad:
:P :P
I would also prefer the thesis option because it gives you a precise path for the development of the work and for explaining the conclusions.
Of course it is impossible to say wich option is the hardest..it depends on the individual situations, imho. ;)
Education system in USA is second to none, and I am sure the option you followed is a very valid one.
Here in Italy we have few good Universities..
However here is how it works: you choose a professor to be the relator of your thesis (he will guide you through the work, suggestin the guidelines and correcting your work if he does not like it).
When you finish the work you have to discuss the thesis in front of a committee, but it does not take long, about 15 minutes :D
The hardest part is in the work itself, and it will be valued from your relator, then he will add/subtract some points depending on how you conducted the discussion.
With Tigre unfortunately I did not have much opportunities to do something special. I love him like a member of my family.
i am sure you do understand perfectly.
He is a good house guardian, always alert.
I'd like to have trained him for weight pulling, but here in Italy it is almost unknown. We took some obedience lessons and also some pp sessions and he showed a good attitude to learn.
The trainer used to train dogs also as "rescue dogs" for the civil protection, and I was tempted to take that patent with Tigre, but then could not go on.
Maybe in the future I will post some videos.
bye!
