 Welcome to the new version of ElPresa.com: in the last months this project kept me very busy as I had the objective to realize a more global site, wich could be reached and enjoyed to a wider range of persons: also for this reasons I decided to offer its contents also in italian and spanish, other than english. In this years the site has played the role of a point of contact for the fanciers of the Presa Canario, that made it possible to exchange the informations and share the experiences. With this new version of the site I try to take it to the next level, attempting to realize a site that should became a point of reference as far as the contents offered in the various subsections are concerned. For this reason I chosed to use a CMS (Content Management System); the idea is to start with some basic (but very clear) pages, and then expand with time and enrich the site with new contents and new sections, also thanks to the collaboration with persons coming from all over the world (if you want to collaborate just write me).
Besides, in the section "Community" you can find a link to our forum, wich can now count with more than 500 members coming from all the world,
and another subsection in wich you will find the most interesting news
about the world of the Presa Canario and our community. The section
community is going to be completed by the subsection "Rescue", that
will be helpful in order to save the life to the unlucky homeless Presa
Canarios and that now risk to be put to sleep (this mainly occurs in
the United States of America, where the breed has already reached a
considerable degree of popularity and where unavoidablly these episodes
take place). It is an ambitious part of the site, for wich I will be
albe to count with the of Dana Childers for the West Coast and Kay
Gathrow for the East Coast. I would like to remember you that in order
to save these unlucky dogs it is very important the help provided by
all our community, and just for this reason I set up a page from wich
you will be able to choose if you prefer to help by donating moneys or
other goodies (food, coats, fences, etc.): a page with all the received donations will be published. Of course I will
periodically present a page with the report of the actions taken.
In the future, as my spare time will let me do it, I will add other
sectionsto the site, including articles, a page dedicated to the
fascinanting history of the Presa Canario, an album with pictures,
links to other website and much more.
Surely we are not short on projects,
on the contrary, I think it will be hard, for all of us, to realize all
the ones we have sketched so far.
